Spirit Lake

Even though the lake is large, the dark canopy of the trees filter most light. Small amounts of these light rays reflect off of Spirit Lake and give the illusion that its surface is silver. The thickest of trees are located here. Only animals with small, leathe bodies and a mind of cunning can enter. The deer are among these animals and actually live here. They talk with the spirits of deceased horses and deer who live in the lake to gain knowledge. Deer and spirits talk in whispers, so the clearing with a canopy only hears the rasp of the leaves.

Birthing Glade

Imagine a small shaded meadow. The grass is green and knee high and the softest grass you would ever feel on your skin. Trees, not quite saplings, surround the field, making the grass shine yellow only near noon. Just past the trees, almost completely surrounding the whole glade rocky cliffs tower above any horse's head. There are no fear of dogs, of pumas or anything of the sort. The only sound a horse can hear are the whisper of the light breeze sifting through the grass and leaves and possibly the chirp of the crickets. This place is empty almost year-round, except when it comes time for the deer and horses to give birth. Then the colts and fillies play, along with the shy, shy fawns and this place is joyful. Beautiful.
