| My smile shows a bright sunny day,
but my eyes are full of rain.
I seem like I’m glowing by the way I laugh all day,
but inside, lightning strikes and fire begins to blaze.This mask of happiness,
the joy just a diversion,
to keep my sadness secret,
to cover up the pain.Lightning strikes at my heart,
ripping it apart.
Thunder roars in my head,
just screaming for a way out.I tell them I’m just fine,
but read between the lines, and see it’s just a lie.
I act as though nothing is wrong,
just so then I can hurt alone.Drowning in my sorrow
as the rain fills me up to my eyes.
I’m locked up inside,
refusing to let free my emotions.It’s a storm inside,
It’s a storm inside me.
The wind blows, the lightning strikes,
and it’s killing me.
