I use my smile
To mask my broken heart
And to keep you from worrying

I laugh and play and have my fun
But inside I am dying
My spirit came undone

I try to hide my sorrow
But it batters me inside
Wanting to break out

I tell you I am fine
Not to worry about me
I don't want you to suffer

I hide my pain
And try to suffer alone
But it doesn't always work

I'm being torn apart inside
For I know that disaster will happen
And I'll be left in pieces

I didn't notice trouble
Until it was too late
Now I'm unprepared

You don't need this
Noe one knows my pain
Nor do I wish to share it

My laughter hides my dead spirit
My smile, my broken heart
but alone I shall cry

Don't ask to know my secret
For I will never tell
Now leave me here to suffer
