Names

Sometimes writers have a hard time coming up with names. Sometimes writers have too many names caught up in their mind.

If you have a name (or many) post them below. If needed, give them a story, and origin. You may be able to help a lot of people.

Izanami (f) - She who invites, she who will guard *Japanese*
Atiya (f) - Meaning unknown *arabic*
Zakhir (m) - I made this one up, but it's supposed to sound Arabic.

I just made up all theese names, so they don't really have an origin.

Zeenantharan Jackson Mistacaldo- Leader and a fast runner.
Emmalyn Lynescence- Queen of Dreams.
Lightora- Princess of the sun
Darklyle- King of Nightmares.
Lilea Magicka-.Powerful Witch
Sally Anne Elizabeth K. Saleen Merrie McFergastien- Really long name.

Rajani(f) - Dark One in Sanskrit...I think; this is the name I use for Izanami's sister, a powerful and evil-minded dragoness

Zaida(f) - *Arabic* means to 'gather or increase.' Name of my character, a ranger, in one of my cuz's RPs

Zhianya(f) - Made it up. Generally this is the name I use for a temperamental blonde lady knight in roleplays

Aderyn(f) - Modern Welsh for 'bird.' *temporary* name of a character in my tiger story; permanent name of fierce pirate Captainess (but she doesn't like her crew to call her by her first name)

Maeryn(f) - Made it up. Welsh roots. Name of a powerful mage in some of my fantasy roleplays

Lady Amarantha(f) - Greek; from the name of the amaranth flower. Name of bloodthirsty villainess in tiger story; also the name of several villains in roleplays I've written

Argona(f) - Celtic, means 'battle, slaughter;' it's the name of Amarantha's sister, who is more awful than she is

Camilla Beauxmonte(f) - French; name of smart-talking sarcastic French girl in stories/RPs

Yin-Xiang(f) - Chinese; combination of 'Yin' (silver, sound, shade) and 'Xiang' (fragrant, auspicious, to soar); typically a tigress's name

Tiamat(f) - Name of a dragoness goddess in Babylonian mythology who was slain by her grandson Marduk

Valorosso(m) - Italian roots; means 'brave' or 'chivalrous;' I use this name for a tall, black Friesian warstallion who is Zhianya's horse in some of my roleplays

Kanthalion(m) - Made it up. Name I use for a silver-haired elven mage

Tajeran(m) - Also made it up; don't use it often

Saejo(m) - Made it up; Chinese roots. Name of a tiger in my story

Kiernan(m) - Made it up. Name of short-tempered runtish crimson fire dragon

Jazul(m) - Made it up; Arabic/Middle-eastern roots. Typically I use it in roleplays for the name of a stupid guardsman or something, in my story it is the name of Amarantha's jackal-guard

Baelom(m) - Made it up. Not much of a story here, but I've used it for an ugly brown dragon in a roleplay before

Enrion(m) - Made it up. Name of a soldier

Tai-Ling(m) - Chinese, combination of 'Tai' (great, extreme) and 'Ling' (alert, quick); name of Yin's twin, a tiger

Amon(m) - Egyptian, means 'the hidden one'

Mary- the Catholic that fell for the wicca

Ceclia Amore- the captain in the protectors of magical life

Belinda Rose Night- the only girl on the planet that can cross over spiritts

Kellie Felix- just your avarege red blood cell

Jason Wick- the new kid who loves the Catholic

Clarissa Love- Princess and soon to be Queen of Love

Lissa Violet- Princess and soon to be queen of the elements

Moonlight Night- Princess and soon to be Queen of night

Vanessa Good- Princess of all things good

Ash Night- Moonlights brother and Clarissas Husband

Ceclia Jennings- CIA captain

Ronnan(m) - Irish/Welsh, origin unknown.

Renwë(m) - Made it up. Probably Old English roots if I had to guess. Name of a squawking raven with golden eyes.

Tristan(m) - Welsh, means 'tumult.' Name of Maeryn's sweet-tempered young nephew

Fafnìr(m) - Norse origins, added the accent on the I for effect.

Kasmira(f) - Made it up. Roman roots. Kasmira is a small, slim warrior with great patience and good skills with a knife.

Ireth(f) - Made it up; Welsh/Old English roots. Ireth is my friend's 'alter ego' during roleplays. She's a raven-haired, blue-violet-eyed archer in my stories.

Adalaya(f) - I made this one up. It's derived from 'Adalaide' which means 'regal,' but I didn't like the 'aide' on the end...made it sound like 'Marmelaide.' Adalaya is a servant girl who is always so fear-stricken with the memories of her tragic past that she keeps a dagger hidden under her cloak at all times.

Belinda Clancy- i made this girl up for ghost whisperer as melindas daughter

Catastropha- The new name of Thrax's daughter, whos real name is Carmen.

Delila Katana- a wicccan, who was captured and inslaved by the STA.

Harmony- The protecter of art, sweet and kind.

Melody- The protecter of strength, breace and bold.

MY WOOD ELVES
Naena Windstorm- a foreign elf princess in a seperate novel, but I love her name, so I had to feature it.
Elizabeth SilverFir-Also a seperate elf princess in another novel. But one of my most cherished characters.
Lyra Whitestaff- 'Lyra' named after the star constellation, and appropriately so. Her story parallels with that of the song 'the Bonny Swans' by Loreena Mckennitt. Give it a listen.
Cygnus Anne Whitestaff- the eldest of three sisters, Cygnus is the oldest, Lyra the youngest, Saggita the middle child. 'Cygnus' is also named after a star constellation.
Saggita Whitestaff-The middle child, also a seer. She is of a solemn countenance. Different, and special. Named also after a star constellation.
Trapila Goldsap (obviously one of my most favorite characters I invented if you observe my username:]) She's a red head, the daughter of a minstrel, and the fiancee of a weaver.
William Whitestaff-the youngest boy in the Whitestaff family, and the heir to the throne. Only thirteen years old.
Tibel Frostmoon-A gentle weaver, engaged to Trapila.
Bess SilverShaft-A best friend of Lyra's.
Draedon Northweed-Beloved of Destiny, a water elf--his polar opposite, and enemy.
Gregory Thornblade-beloved of Lyra, but Cygnus loves him too, and is jealous of Lyra.
Duchess Mildew Startree-a snobby, irritable realitive of the Whitestaffs.

WATER ELVES
Destiny Riverstorm-Princess of the Water Elves. A fine battle strategist and negotiater.
Whellis Riverstorm- The Water Realm's king, once a necromancer.
Nara Riverstorm-Whellis' beloved wife.
Jhen Riverstorm-Prince of the Water Elves. A brave warrior, with princely qualities.
Jay Norace- in another story alltogether, but one of my favorite characters.
Millesen Ducoti-handmaiden of Destiny.
Trelno Bagseed-the clumsy, chubby stable boy. Very sweet natured and innocent.
Ik'Shael Marsol-Destiny's fiance, who dies in battle.

NYMPHS
Aemora-sister of Aerimar
Aerimar-Reigning queen of the Nymphs. evil villian, and dangerous in every way.
Kindred-more reptilian than ambphibious like the other nymphs. Kindred contemplates converision of sides. She doesn't want to be on the Nymph's side, b/c they're evil.
Caladry-the Captain of the Guard. very lethel with a weapon
Kaelman-Caladry's henchman

GRYPHON
Marotrite- William Whitestaff's tutor. He is different from most gryphons. He has the same Eagle face and wings with the body of a lion, but unlike the others, he has a mane that goes around his bald eagle’s head and the color of his fur and feathers are different. Gryphons normally had deep molten bird eyes, the dark brown wing feathers and white or gold colored feathers for the head, plus the tan lion’s coat. Marotrite was more metallic in color: Silver wings, with garnet eyes, and an emerald green mane, which seemed coarse, and looked like a wiry form of melted gemstones. His Eagle head was more of a bland off-white, and his lion fur seemed to be made out of golden flax—more regal than any color ever seen on the king of beasts.
