It's My Pain

Under a mask of happiness
I hide my feelings of pain
If you couldn't tell
Please don't feel bad
I hide my pain
Because it's mine
And no one else
Should have to shoulder it

Inside I'm weeping
And too sentimental
About the smallest things
I'm torn into pieces
And you can't even tell
Because I hide my pain
Because that pain
Is only my pain
No friend should have the burden

Everyone thinks I'm too happy
That I don't have any drags
The closest may even think
That I just shake off everything
With a beaming face
On the surface that might be true
But inside I only wish it weren't false
I bottle my pain
For a rainy day
Where I could cry it away
Alone

It's my pain
And I alone should carry it
And not have to worry my friends
Because I lift my friends
Not carry them to the depths
I should suffer them
And help everyone else
Because I'm too good a soul
To hurt anyone else

I hide my pain
And my deepest fears
From even my closest friends
Because
It's my pain
And no one else's
Only mine
And it's one thing I won't share

Wow, I love iT!!! I can kind of relate to that. Except, it's really bad for me to bottle it up. Long story.

Thanks. I was just trying to get my feelins on pape--erm... written down? I think I probably could have done a better job with rythem and whatnot if I had time. Now, that's a good idea...
